BERHAMPUR: Nonstop rains in Southern Odisha including Berhampur city just 14 Km away from Gopalpur on Sea have been experiencing since Thursday.Isolated showers are expected in parts of the state in next 24 hrs due to the cyclonic storm ‘Nilam’ which has intensified over Chitradurga in Karnataka.According to local Meteorological department of Gopalpur major parts of southern and coastal Odisha including Berhampur and Koraput have been experiencing continuous rainfall since Thursday morning with effect of cyclone. In Berhampur they recording highest 78 mm rainfall in past 24 hours.

  


Weathermen have warned fishermen in Gopalpur not to venture into the sea as moderate to heavy showers along with thunderstorms are expected to hit the state in next 24 hours.
