CORRUPTION CANNOT BE ELIMINATING UNLESS WE LOST OUR BOTH EYES (!!!)
BERHAMPUR: Vigilance Awareness Week 2012 has been inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the function Sri Radha Krishna Sharma, D.I.G of Police (SR) at Rushikulya Conference hall with administered pledge. Pledge was also administered in all departments of State government, all district level officers including Media. He expressed that corruptions do prevalent in the society in different forms. The Punitive & Preventive Vigilance need to be supplemented by participative vigilance and urged all to take it as a challenge and work for eradication of corruption from the society.
Sri (Prof.) Bhagabat Patro, HOD, Economics and Sri.(Prof.)Prasant Padhy,HOD,Department of MBA of Berhampur University explained the consequences of corruption in Public Sector Enterprises, the introduction of e-procurement-Governanance,e-tendering-payment and the cause of corruption under the word of (E-) Reduce of economical growth with our existing GDP and statics figure of our Nation.
Sri (Prof.) Bishu Choudhury, Department of Pol.Science cum PG Council Chairman of Berhampur University focused as Chief Speaker the various factors of Corruption in our Nation as well in our State objective of observance of Vigilance Awareness Week and stressed the importance of this year’s. He presented some tips with live examples and theme i.e. Transparency in Public Procurement. Corruption cannot be eliminating unless we lost our both eyes. In his long deliberation he highlighted public procurement is a powerful driver of development.Govt.spend public money to secure inputs and resources to achieve objectives-Impact on key stakeholders and wider society, undermining corruption,promoting integrity and effectiveness of the public services. Today India suffering with Global financial crisis.So austerity measures including making public procurement system more efficient. The CVC has recommended e-procurement as it is cot effective,efficient and transperant.It involves three components (a) Information and registration, (b)e-publishing and (c) e-Tendering. Finally he concluded with many live example of “AAM ADMI”.
Sri Jadu Nath Hansda, S.P., Vigilance, read out the messages of CVC and appeal let’s take a decision to avoid corruption, not to entertain corruption.
